The Courage to Be Brilliant
The Courage To Be
Brilliant by Marta Monahan,
published by Vittorio Media, Inc., drew high honors in
the self-help category at Book Expo America in Los
Angeles at the end of May 2003, walking away with a
prestigious “Ippy” awarded by the Independent Press
Association. Now Marta and Vito are hard at work
on a sequel, Bouquet of Beautiful
Things,
that is
due in bookstores in 2008.
Whenever I think about the good things that have happened with Courage, I have to look back at Mark Young, a pal of mine and the screenwriter of The Least Among You, a film for which he has raised two-thirds of the budget in the hope of directing. Mark introduced me to two of his friends, Vito Sanzone and Marta Monahan.
Marta is a human potential expert; Vito, a marketing executive. He and Marta were looking for an editor who could do some re-writing, and that resulted in my happy collaboration with Marta on her book, Strength of Character and Grace: The Courage To Be Brilliant, published in a special subscribers' edition at the end of 1999.
After two more hardcover printings for the general market, Marta revised and added material for the paperback version, and Vito shortened the title and offered a powerful forward from his own experence.
Get Marta's book if you want to find out how to shake free of the dullness of mediocrity with five acts of improvement a day that will make your life shine. Check out my Archives for a couple of sample chapters.
